Thank You for a Season of Fresh, Local Goodness

As we wrap up the harvest season, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to our community for the incredible generosity shown throughout the summer and fall months. Together, you’ve helped bring over 5,241 lbs of fresh, local produce to our neighbours in need — an amazing accomplishment that reflects the strength and compassion of our community.

🥕 Local Farms and Gardens that Made it Possible

We were fortunate to receive an abundance of fruits and vegetables from local farms and community gardens, including:

  • Kent Farms – potatoes, onions, carrots, and apples

  • Gibson Farms – fresh apples and pears

  • Wilmot Orchards – beautiful, fresh blueberries

  • Jury Lands Foundation – a wide variety of produce including leafy greens, radish, squash, and tomatoes

  • Wilmot Creek Gardens – a wonderful assortment of seasonal produce from greens to root vegetables

  • Naomi Garden – sweet, fresh corn

  • Newcastle Community Garden – asparagus and garlic

💪 The Effort Behind Every Harvest

We recognize the incredible amount of work that goes into every step of this process — from planting and tending crops to harvesting, sorting, and delivering the produce to our doors. Every hour of labour and every act of generosity helps ensure our neighbours have access to nutritious, fresh food.

🍅 The Impact of Fresh Produce

Fresh produce makes a meaningful difference for those who rely on the food bank. It adds colour and nutrition to every meal, supports better health, and provides dignity and choice for our guests.

💚 With Gratitude

We are deeply grateful to our local growers, community gardeners, volunteers, and supporters who make this possible. Together, we are building a healthier, more caring community.

Thank you for helping us nourish Clarington!
