About Us

Our History

In 1995, a group of dedicated community leaders and concerned citizens recognized a growing need for food assistance in Clarington East. They formed a founding board of directors and established a charitable organization officially named Clarington East Economic Support.

While the original vision was to offer a broad range of social services, the food bank emerged as the most vital and practical way to support our neighbors. Today, we continue that legacy as the Clarington East Food Bank (CEFB), a cornerstone of local support for those facing economic challenges.
