FOOD BANK 2 HOME: Delivery Program
At the Clarington East Food Bank (CEFB), we believe that everyone deserves access to nutritious food, regardless of their ability to visit our physical location. Our Food Bank 2 Home program is designed specifically for residents who face barriers to visiting us in person.
Who Qualifies for Delivery?
If you live within our catchment area (Newcastle, Orono, Newtonville, Kendal, or Kirby), you may qualify for this program if you meet one of the following requirements:
-
Seniors: You are 65 years of age or older.
-
Physical Disability or Illness: You have a physical disability or a short/long-term illness that makes it difficult to visit the food bank.
-
Parents & Caregivers: You are a single, new, or expecting parent (or caregiver) who is homebound.
-
Transportation Barriers: You have no access to a vehicle or public transit and are homebound.
Please Note: This service is reserved for neighbours who do not live with another adult-aged household member who is physically able to visit the food bank on their behalf.
Delivery Schedule
To ensure efficient service, our delivery days are organized by location:
-
Orono Residents: Deliveries take place on the 3rd Tuesday of every month.
-
Newcastle Residents: Deliveries take place on the 3rd Thursday of every month.
